Beloved Fifth-Grade Teacher Helene Layman Visits Langley Students

Mrs. Helene Layman, beloved fifth-grade teacher extraordinaire, visited Langley on December 15, 2008, and spent an hour in class with Mrs. Gustin's fifth-graders. Mrs. Layman learned a bit about the language arts curriculum in fifth grade and was introduced to the wonders of the laptops which are issued to each fifth-grade student. The students had the opportunity to ask Mrs. Layman what Langley was like during her years here as a teacher (1966 – 1981). Everyone learned a great deal about Langley's past and present!
