Jasmine Thomas ’03 Helps USA Basketball Bring Home the Gold

Jasmine Thomas ’03 was selected to the USA basketball under-19 women’s world championship team that competed against international teams at the 2007 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women July 26 – August 5 in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Jasmine was a key contributor to Team USA’s run to the title, starting every game and averaging nearly 22 minutes of playing time per game. Team USA was a perfect 9-0 at the World Championships, topping Sweden 99-57 for a gold medal victory. In the final, Jasmine scored 13 points and had four rebounds, two assists, and a steal. She currently plays basketball for Duke University.
